Esmé is a contemporary/abstract artist currently working in London, England.
Originally from South Africa; Esmé, has lived in South Africa, Namibia, Melbourne - Australia, and most recently, in Sydney - Australia for the 20 years before moving to London. Living in the UK (and through the Covid lockdowns) provided Esmé the time to increase focus on her techniques, experiment with her creativity, and enabled her to significantly diversify her artwork.
Esmé has brought forward complex yet relatable works with many influences, not least of which are the traditional and newer abstract inspirations, the bright African and Ndebele geometric patterning, and the complexity and authenticity of Australian Aboriginal art and artists often subtly apparent.
